Why Choose Ice Green

No Two Slabs Alike Fragment size and density vary so widely that no two Cebu slabs read the same.
Striking Appearance A breccia mosaic of olive and black pieces held in white, rather than conventional flowing veins.
Brightens a Room The one green stone in our Cebu range that adds colour without taking light out of the space.
Increases Your Home’s Resale Value Buyers spot real stone. Marble reads as a permanent upgrade rather than a surface treatment, so it pays you back again on the day you sell.

What Is Ice Green Marble?

Olive and black fragments set into a white ground.

Ice Green is a breccia marble. Older rock was smashed into angular pieces and then glued back together by mineral-rich fluid, and what came out the other side sets olive-green and near-black fragments into a matrix of white to pale gray, every boundary a hard edge rather than a soft fade.

Built that way, it behaves like a mosaic in a manner no flowing marble can imitate. You end up reading separate pieces instead of following a vein, and the difference that makes to a Cebu room is not subtle.

Of the green stones we bring into Cebu it is the lightest. Verde Alpi and Forest Green darken a room; Ice Green brightens one while still delivering green.

Fragment size and density move about between slabs, so some pieces come through predominantly white and others predominantly green. That is worth settling with us before the order goes in.

How Do You Clean Ice Green Marble?

Three habits, and a white matrix stays white.

1

Keep It Away from Acidic Substances

Calamansi, vinegar, wine and tomato take the polish off within minutes. Marble is calcium carbonate and acid dissolves it, so reaction time counts for more than whichever product you reach for.

2

Use Only Marble-Safe Cleaner

Vinegar sprays and general-purpose cleaners are acidic, so they do the damage you are working to avoid. A marble cleaner lifts grease and leaves the polish untouched.

3

Blot Spills and Drips Promptly

Wiping smears a spill across a wider patch of absorbent stone. Blotting with a folded cloth draws the liquid straight up and keeps the affected area small, which matters most on the pale matrix.

Our Cebu yard stocks specially-formulated stone care products, so the upkeep never turns into guesswork in a supermarket aisle.

How Do You Care for Ice Green Marble?

A breccia is several stones at once, which shifts the routine slightly.

1

Reseal as Needed

The slab tells you when, and the water test is how it speaks. A quarter of an hour of work puts the protection back across the whole surface.

2

Always Use Coasters and Trays

Marble registers 3 on the Mohs scale, softer than the base of a ceramic mug. Coasters under glasses and a tray under bottles keep rings and chipping off the top, and a board handles anything you cut, since a steel knife is harder than the stone.

3

Seal the Whole Surface

The white matrix between the fragments is usually the thirstiest part of the slab, so a sealer laid on evenly does its most useful work there. That is the step to get right before a Cebu counter goes into service.

Is Ice Green Marble Good for Kitchen Countertops?

Bright enough for a small kitchen, on the usual marble terms.

Yes, and it solves a problem the darker greens cannot. A green counter normally costs a room some light, and this one does not, which earns it a look in a compact Cebu kitchen.

The marble terms have not changed. Acid etches the surface, knives mark it, and no sealer prevents either. The busy fragment pattern does help swallow light etching and everyday marks.

The white matrix is where the attention goes. Oil and pigment show up there more readily than on the green and black fragments, so seal the slab and lift spills promptly.

A honed finish suits this stone particularly well. With the gloss gone the fragments read as a flat mosaic and etching all but disappears, which is why Cebu clients specifying it for a family kitchen usually end up there.

Does Ice Green Marble Need Sealing?

Sealing answers stains. Nothing answers etching.

Yes. Marble is porous, so oil and pigment sink into the stone rather than resting on it. An impregnating sealer fills that pore structure and buys you the time to reach a spill before it becomes a mark.

A breccia wants the sealer applied evenly across the whole slab, because the pale matrix between fragments drinks faster than the fragments themselves.

Test rather than diarise. Put a few drops of water on an inconspicuous part of the counter, leave them fifteen minutes, then wipe them off. Stone that has darkened underneath is absorbing and wants sealing. Six months is roughly what a busy Cebu kitchen counter asks for, though the interval is only a guide and the water test makes the decision.

Etching carries on regardless of sealing, since acid is reacting with the stone itself and never soaking down into it.

Ice Green vs the Other Green Stones

Four greens, and only one of them lifts a room.

Ice Green is the brightest

Olive and black pieces suspended in a white matrix. This is the green to take when a Cebu room needs colour but cannot spare the light.

Verde Alpi is the deepest

A near-black green beneath a delicate white vein web. Both stones arrive on indent order and are quoted per project on identical terms, so the question is only whether the room wants weighing down or opening up.

Forest Green sits between them

Forest Green mixes olive and dark green with brown veining, giving movement without travelling as far down the scale as Verde Alpi does. It is the middle option in our Cebu green range.

Hassan Green granite is the practical one

Hassan Green is a dark green granite densely flecked in pale grains. It does not etch, will not scorch under a hot pan and needs no sealing routine, and it is stocked at our Cebu yard at ₱3,400 per square meter. Keep a trivet in play regardless, because any stone can crack if the temperature change is sudden and extreme.

What Colors Go With Ice Green Marble?

A white ground with green accents, so it behaves like a light neutral.

White and off-white cabinetry keeps everything clear and leaves the green fragments looking like chosen accents instead of an entire colour scheme. That is where most joinery quotes start, and for good reason.

Pale timber holds up beside it too, oak and maple in particular. All the darker notes are already sitting in the slab, so a light wood evens things out rather than fighting for attention.

For a bolder room, deep green cabinetry picks the fragments up directly and makes the whole thing look considered. It is the one strong colour that reliably lands here.

Brushed nickel and chrome sit comfortably as hardware. Brass reads warm against a stone whose ground is essentially cool, which is worth knowing before the Cebu joinery is ordered.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a breccia marble?

A stone formed when angular fragments of older rock were broken apart and then cemented back together by mineral-rich fluid. What you get is a mosaic of pieces with sharp edges instead of the flowing veins of a conventional marble. Ice Green is among the clearest examples in our Cebu range.

Where does Ice Green marble come from?

China is the source, and it moves through the trade under this name and several near relations. Given how far one breccia block departs from the next, which block matters rather more than which country. Brief us on the fragment density you are after and we will specify it when the Cebu order goes in.

Do the slabs match each other?

No. Fragment size and density vary enough that one slab may come through mostly white and another mostly green. A Cebu project needing more than one slab should have them brought in together from a single block.

Does sealing prevent Ice Green from etching?

No. Sealing blocks absorption and stops stains. Etching is a chemical reaction between acid and the calcium carbonate in the stone, and it happens at the surface regardless of any sealer beneath. Every marble behaves this way.

Will Ice Green marble stain?

Yes, if unsealed. The pale matrix between fragments takes up oil and pigment and shows it. Sealed and wiped promptly, the stone resists staining well, and a poultice of baking soda and water drawn over an oil mark will often lift it if one appears.

Is Ice Green suitable for bathrooms?

Yes, and it is a strong choice for one. A Cebu vanity meets no acid and no knives, and a bright stone with green accents lifts a room that would otherwise be wall-to-wall white tile. Wipe standing water away to keep mineral rings from forming.

Can Ice Green marble be used for flooring?

Yes, honed rather than polished. A polished floor gets slippery underfoot once wet and collects scratches from tracked-in grit. The broken pattern of a breccia also swallows daily dust in a way no plain pale floor manages.

Where can you buy Ice Green marble in Cebu?

Stone Depot. Ice Green is an indent order at every branch, ours included, so the slab is brought in against your project rather than waiting in the Cebu yard to be looked over. Ask us for the current lead time when you enquire.

Fragment density varies enough that it is worth telling us which look you are after when the order goes in. We supply and install across Cebu and ship out to Bohol, Leyte and Negros, and the Cebu branch is open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
