Why Choose Gray Honda

Hot Pots and Pans Will Not Scorch It No resin binder to burn, so a pan taken off the burner will not scorch the surface the way it would engineered quartz.
The Practical Gray Dark enough to swallow food and crumbs in a busy Cebu kitchen, pale enough that it gives away dust less readily than a true black.
Level With Our Pale Grays ₱3,200 per sqm, the same as Caesar White on the Cebu list, with matching heat tolerance and outdoor durability.
Quarried, Not Manufactured Cut from one block instead of mixed in a factory, so every slab carries the geology of the place it came from.

What Is Gray Honda Granite (G654 Light)?

A dense charcoal grain, fine and entirely even.

Gray Honda is a Chinese granite in a mid to dark charcoal, made up of a very fine, tightly packed grain of gray, black and pale mineral. The grain is small enough that at standing height the slab resolves into one solid gray plane. Its trade code is G654 (Light). Black Impala comes off the same quarry material in the darker grade, sold as G654 (Dark), and on the Cebu list it is the dearer of the pair at ₱3,500 against ₱3,200 here.

Think of it as the dark end of our Cebu gray range. Caesar White and Salt and Pepper are pale grays sitting on a white ground; this is their opposite, the one to reach for when gray is meant to anchor a room instead of lightening it.

There is no direction in the grain, so the slab can be turned whichever way the room wants. That gives us more freedom over where a seam ends up in a Cebu kitchen.

At ₱3,200 per square meter it is level with Caesar White, and Salt and Pepper stays the cheaper option at ₱2,100. Unlike engineered quartz, it takes a pan lifted straight off the burner without scorching.

How Do You Clean Gray Honda Granite?

Three habits, and a dark surface holds its depth.

1

Always Keep the Surface Dry

Limescale and dried water marks announce themselves on a dark polish in a way they never do on a pale one. Take a damp cloth over it, follow with a dry one, and a Cebu counter reads clean rather than streaked.

2

Use Only Granite Cleaner

Acidic bathroom sprays and bleach pull the sealer out and bring forward the day it has to go back on. A pH-neutral stone cleaner takes grease off and leaves the seal beneath it alone.

3

Never Scour It

Abrasive powders, steel wool and scouring pads leave scuffing in the polish that does not come out. Anything dried on lifts away under a plastic scraper, which does no damage to the polish.

The Cebu branch keeps specially-formulated stone care products on the shelf, sealers for this granite included, so you are not guessing in a supermarket aisle.

How Do You Care for Gray Honda Granite?

A single seal, a check now and then, and one thing you must never do.

1

Seal It on Installation

The counter is sealed once it has been set in place and the dust has dropped. Our Cebu fitters handle it as part of the job, and that first application decides how the stone behaves for years to come.

2

Reseal as Needed

Leave a few drops of water on an inconspicuous part of the counter for fifteen minutes, then wipe them off. Stone that has darkened underneath is telling you to reseal, and reapplying is a wipe-on, wipe-off job you finish inside an evening. Granite that needs sealing asks about once or twice a year, as a guide only.

3

Never Sit or Stand on It

Granite is hard but it will not flex, so an unsupported overhang can give way under a person’s weight. Get a step stool out instead of climbing onto the counter.

Is Gray Honda Granite Good for Kitchen Countertops?

Yes, and it handles heat the way quartz cannot.

Yes. Silicate is what granite is built from, so acid has nothing here to dissolve. Calamansi, vinegar and wine leave the polish where it is, while the same spills would dull a marble within seconds.

Heat is the clearest gap between this and engineered quartz. Nothing in it burns, because there is no resin binder, so a pan taken off the burner will not scorch the surface. A trivet is still worth using, because any stone can crack if the temperature change is sudden and extreme, but a single careless moment will not ruin the counter.

Mid-dark gray turns out to be a useful middle ground. Crumbs, food and cooking marks all go quiet against it, and it gives away dust and dried water less readily than a true black does. Of the grays we carry in Cebu, this is the one that best absorbs heavy daily use.

Sealing is the real obligation and it is covered further down. Being dark buys no exemption at all, and skipping it is how a splash of cooking oil ends up a permanent patch.

Does Gray Honda Granite Need Sealing?

Yes, and being dark changes nothing.

Yes. The structure is open enough for oil and wine to work their way in and leave a darker patch behind. Sealed, it turns both away and behaves like any other undemanding kitchen surface.

Color predicts nothing here. Absolute Black and Black Galaxy sit darker than this one and want no sealer whatsoever, while Marigold, a light brown, also wants none. Checking the individual stone is the only method that holds up.

For a Cebu counter that comes down to one application at installation and a water test from time to time afterwards, once or twice a year as a guide. That is the entire commitment, and it is a fair return on a natural stone that takes a hot pan without flinching.

Gray Honda vs Our Other Gray Surfaces

Four grays, told apart by tone and material.

Gray Honda is the dark natural gray

A fine dense charcoal grain at ₱3,200 per sqm on the Cebu list. Reach for it to anchor a room, and any time you want a surface that shrugs off heat.

Caesar White is the same idea, inverted

Caesar White puts fine cool flecking on a bright white ground, and in Cebu it lists at the same ₱3,200 per sqm. Identical clean even grain, opposite end of the tonal range: it lifts a dark room where this one grounds a light one.

Salt and Pepper is the cheapest of these

Salt and Pepper is a warmer, busier pale gray at ₱2,100 per sqm. It is the budget answer when price weighs more with you than tone does.

Nimbus quartz is the engineered version

Nimbus gives a comparable flecked charcoal at ₱5,000 per sqm, manufactured so every slab matches and needing no sealing whatsoever. It will scorch under a hot pan, which this one will not, so it suits a Mandaue condo fit-out better than a heavy cooking kitchen.

What Colors Go With Gray Honda Granite?

A grounding counter that lets the room above it lift.

Almost anything, though white, off-white and mid-tone timber are the safest. Mid-dark gray is a genuine neutral with no warmth to design around, which lets it sit under practically any cabinetry color without clashing.

White and off-white cabinetry throws the sharpest contrast, and the fine grain keeps the join from reading as starkly as a solid black counter would.

Timber takes the edge off. Oak and light walnut over charcoal come across warm rather than severe, which usually suits a Cebu home better than an all-gray scheme.

Dark above and dark below is the trap. Navy or dark gray doors over a charcoal counter shut a room down quickly, and a compact Mandaue condo kitchen gets there faster still. Where the cabinetry is already dark, Caesar White does the same job in reverse. On hardware, chrome and brushed nickel follow the gray while brass warms it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Gray Honda granite need sealing?

Yes, and being a dark stone changes nothing about it. Oil and red wine can penetrate a stone this open and leave a darker patch. Seal it at installation, then test occasionally with a few drops of water on an inconspicuous spot, and reseal only once the stone underneath darkens.

How is it different from Caesar White or Salt and Pepper?

Tone. All three carry an even gray grain, but Gray Honda is a mid-dark charcoal while the other two rest on a white ground. This one grounds a room and those two lighten it. On the Cebu list Gray Honda and Caesar White both sit at ₱3,200 per sqm, with Salt and Pepper at ₱2,100.

Can you put a hot pan on Gray Honda granite?

Yes. Nothing in it burns, because there is no resin binder to scorch, so a pan straight off the burner will not burn or discolor the surface. Use a trivet anyway, because any stone can crack if the temperature change is sudden and extreme. Even so, this is where the material beats engineered quartz outright.

Does a dark counter show dust and fingerprints?

Some, though less than a solid black would. Smudges and dried water marks break up against the fine grain, which puts this stone somewhere between a pale surface and a true black on how often a Cebu kitchen wants it wiped.

Does Gray Honda granite stain?

Unsealed, yes. Cooking oil is the usual offender, leaving a darker patch that a poultice may take weeks to draw out. Kept sealed, it resists staining and behaves like any other undemanding surface in a Cebu kitchen.

Does it etch like marble?

No. Granite is silicate-based rather than calcium carbonate, so acid cannot eat into the polish. Calamansi, vinegar and wine leave the surface as they found it, where a marble would dull almost immediately.

Can Gray Honda granite be used outdoors?

Yes. Granite keeps its color under the Cebu sun in a way engineered quartz does not, so it works on lanai counters, outdoor kitchens and poolside surfaces. Keep on top of the sealing, since an outdoor counter works harder than an indoor one.

Where can you buy Gray Honda granite in Cebu?

Stone Depot holds Gray Honda granite at our Cebu slabyard, one of five branches alongside Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo and Laguna. Stock moves between locations, so availability varies.

Dark slabs repay a visit, because lighting changes how deep the gray reads. Branches open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and you are welcome to call in or contact any of them. Bohol and Tagbilaran jobs are supplied and installed out of the Cebu yard.
